13 Coolest Crowdfunding Dog Products

Crowdfunding is an awesome way to get new products to the market. These products are not only making basic products better, some of them are pushing the boundaries of dog tech.

These are 13 of our favorite products that are live on either Kickstarter or Indiegogo right now!

1. PlayDate Smart Ball
$149.00

Indiegogo

We spend a lot of time on our phones, now we can use them to play with our pups when we’re not home! This ball has a camera inside and the connected app lets you roll the ball around and see your pup! It also has a squeak button you can press to make the ball squeak.

2. Survival Leash
$52.00

Kickstarter

This leash set is awesome. Not only does it do the job of a regular leash, it comes with some essential survival and emergency tools. It has an emergency whistle, a compass, a monkey fist, fire starter flint, and a caribiner. To add to everything, if you have to use the paracord that it’s made of in an emergency, the company will replace your leash!

3. Roodie Dog Hoodie
$39.00

Kickstarter

This hoodie is amazing. If you’ve ever had dreams of being a kangaroo and carrying your pup around, this is as close as it gets! The pouch will hold up to a 15 lb dog, so you Newfie owners are out of luck, for now. If you’re not toting your pup around, the pouch zips up and it just looks like you’re wearing a stylish hoodie. Right now it’s just the female hoodie, but if it reaches $25,000 in funding, we get a unisex version!

4. Rufflective Rain Jacket
$33.00

Kickstarter

Walking in the dark with your dog can be dangerous, regardless of your dog’s color (although darker dogs are the hardest to see, but that goes without saying). This vest is made of reflective material and covers your dogs entire body, instead of just the collar like other reflective products do. The jacket can be folded up into a nice little pouch, oh, and it’s all water resistant!

5. Petrol Dog Fuel
$20.00

Indiegogo

Petrol fuel for dogs is a nutrition drink for your pups. It’s developed by a veterinary nutritionist and has the vitamins your dog needs. They’v found that dogs prefer this 4 to 1 over water, so it’s not only healthy, it’s a delicious treat for your pups!

6. Repairable Leash
$14.00

Kickstarter

This is genius, and so simple, I’m upset I didn’t think of it! The lead hearts leash consists of a piece of rope, a clip, and 2 “lead hearts.” If the leash gets worn down or chewed on, you just unscrew the hearts and replace the rope. The leash has been tested with up to 110 lbs of pulling force, so strength isn’t something you have to worry about.

7. Spot Collar
$40.00

Indiegogo

This collar is pretty cool. You put the sensors or “Spotters” wherever you don’t want your dog to go. When your pup gets near them, the collar vibrates and lets off a beep, which tells your dog he’s not allowed to be there. This is pretty much an indoor wireless fence, and I love it. So if your pup is chewing up your couches or getting in the trash, you need one of these!

8. Hurrik9 Ring Launcher
$40.00

Indiegogo

This toy was literally invented by a rocket scientist. The launcher will shoot the ring up to 100 ft, so your pup will get more exercise then with a regular game of fetch! The launcher works like a sling shot so not only is it awesome looking, it’s easy to use! The product was recently funded, but you can still order it for the backers discount!

9. Treat Tossing Webcam
$119.00

Indiegogo

Pet technology keeps getting cooler! This camera has 2 way voice (if only your dog could actually talk), a bark notification system, and it can shoot out treats to your pup when you’re not home. This is perfect for those times you have to leave your pup alone!

10. Poof Pet Monitor
$35.00

Indiegogo

There’s plenty of health monitors and GPS trackers out there now, but this one is different. The first difference is how small it is, it only weights 0.1 oz. The 2nd is the battery life, the pea version lasts 60 days while the bean lasts up to 6 months. There’s a ton of features with this, such as GPS tracking, a fitness monitor, and it’s waterproof. The best thing about it, is the company donates all of the proceeds to Greatergood.com to provide care for rescued animals.

11. Natural Flea Collar
$19.00

Indiegogo

Normal flea and tick treatment and collars that we all use contain chemicals than can be harmful to the dogs. An we can’t use them on puppies, nursing dogs, or pregnant dogs. This color is all natural and uses amber and aromatic terpines to repel ticks and fleas. It’s also a lot nicer looking then regular flea collars Oh yeah, all of the collars are homemade.

12. Tikr Timer Treat Toy
$25.00

Indiegogo

This is awesome. It’s a timer toy, but it doesn’t need any power! You simply twist the timer and let it run for 5-45 minutes. You put the treats inside the toy and as the timer winds down, the treats fall out of the holes on the side. This will definitely keep your pup entertained! This is another one that was recently funded, but you can still get the product for the pre-order price.

13. Slime Free CuBowl
$35.00

Indiegogo

If you have a dog, you know how dirty their water bowls can get. You can clean it everyday, and bacteria still finds a way to live. These bowls are coated with electroplated copper, which has been proven to kill bacteria more rapidly. I’m all for a bowl that is cleaner for our pups and that remains slime free.
